DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY

Better known as Earth, they are the original humans from which were transplanted various colonies to distant planets by the Goa'uld.

After several thousand years Earth's technology grew quickly and they soon began to explore through their stargate. They soon encountered Ra who was killed by a nuclear device.

The Goa'uld System Lords quickly became informed of the renewed threat of humanity and were prepared to launch an attack if it had not been for timely intervention of the Asgard who proposed to add Earth to the Protected Planets' Treaty.

Earth used its advances and the technology acquired from the stargate program and built an advanced ship called Prometheus. The ship was briefly stolen by Adrian Conrad and Colonel Simmons, but was later recaptured by SG-1.

After several years of operating the stargate, the program was divuldged to several powerful nations of the planet(France, China, United Kingdom, Russia). This recent outgoing of information was to gain more support in a joint effort against Anubis should the Goa'uld pose any direct threat to Earth. Intervention from Thor managed to get the full support of the countries involved.

Colonel O'Neill
The leader of SG-1, he always has the catch-phrase for every instance. He is a military veteran skilled in the art of warfare and uses it against the Goa'uld. He has a particular aversion towards the Goa'uld.

He was briefly blended with the Tok'ra Kan'an before the symbiote died to avoid capture.

Major Samantha Carter
A theoretical astrophysicist, she is the proverbial brains behind the operation. Carter is specialist in Goa'uld technology and adapts her knowledge to help defend Earth from the Goa'uld.

She was briefly a host to the Tok'ra Jolinar before it sacrificed itself in order to save Carter. Her uncle, Jacob, is the host for the Tok'ra Selmak who serves a Tok'ra liaison with Earth.

Dr. Daniel Jackson
The archaeologist who managed to decipher the stargate and activate it, he is the member who is most wanted by the Goa'uld. His knowledge of ancient history helps in the fight against the Goa'uld. Jackson's wife, Sha're was taken as a host by Amaunet before she was killed during an attack in which Teal'c was forced to kill her.

His former girlfriend was taken over by Osiris when she opened the Osiris jar on Earth. He later met her at the summit of the System Lords where he was masquerading as Yu's servant.

On the verge of dying, Daniel was aided by Oma Desala in order to ascent to a higher plane of existence. He helped Jack O'Neill when he was repeatedly tortured, killed and revived in a sarcophagus by Baal.

Teal'c
Better known as the Shol'va among the Goa'uld. He betrayed Apophis in favor of Earth since the opportunity was present for him to free the Jaffa race.

Jonas Quinn
From the planet Kelowna, he is the newest recruit of SG-1 after Daniel Jackson's ascension. He can commit to memory a vast array of knowledge and has a photographic memory. Ever since joining SG-1, he was been eager to explore the universe and it's inhabitants.

General George Hammond
Leader of the SGC, he sends SG-1 and the other SG teams off-world. He is rational leader, prepared to make calculated risks in order to benefit SG-1. He is also the one who must relay suggestions and orders to and from the President when in times of need.

Dr. Janet Fraiser
Chief medical officer in the SGC, she is a talented doctor who is probably one of the few specialist that can handle cases of alien infection as well a host of nasty diseases.
