Tanith |
BIOGRAPHY
For several months, he supplied false information to Apophis and apparently several other Goa'uld such as Anubis. When Apophis planned to attack the Tok'ra world of Vorash, Tanith was abandoned by the Tok'ra but rescued by Apophis, to whom he brought the traitor Teal'c as compensation for his inaccurate information. When the sun which Vorash was orbiting went nova, Tanith managed to escape in an escape pod before Apophis' heavy mothership was thrown across galaxies. With the death of Apophis, Tanith entered the service of Anubis, who had suddenly risen to power thanks to the abandoned armies of Cronos, Sokar and Apophis. He was sent to Tollana in order to test new shield systems on his mothership, a test which proved successful in repelling direct blasts from the Tollan ion cannons. Seeing that the cannons could not damaged his ship, Tanith forced the Tollans to build weapons of mass-destruction using their advanced technology. The weapons were destroyed by SG-1 and the Tollan Narim. Tanith completely wiped out the Tollan population following their rebellious actions. On a routine exploration mission, SG-1 encountered Tanith once more before he was shot in the cockpit of his alkesh by Teal'c, who accomplished his vengeance in the name of Sho'nac by killing her murderer. APPEARANCES Season four "Crossroads" Tanith takes the host Hebron and kills Sho'nac. He believes that he has successfully infiltrated the Tok'ra, but is in fact being used to relay false information. "Exodus" Tanith reveals the location of the Tok'ra base to Apophis and brings Teal'c to him as compensation for his misinforamtion. He flees Apophis' mothership before the sun of Vorash goes nova. Season five "Between Two Fires" Tanith forces the Tollans to build advanced weapons for Anubis. Destroys the population after the attempt fails.
