BIOGRAPHY

An ancient Goa'uld, he was once the leader of the System Lords. He was cruel and merciless, so much that an alliance of Goa'uld including Ra, Apophis and Cronos (all sworn enemies) defied him and banished him from the System Lords.

With most of the System Lords believing Sokar to be dead or simply not a threat, he slowly amassed an army of incredible proportions. He soon began an offensive on the System Lords, fighting a war on several fronts. He was involved in several territorial disputes with Baal, which led to the destruction of two entire solar systems, was at war with Heru-ur and had managed to capture Apophis.

After an incident involving a dispute over Apophis' corpse. Sokar sent a newly resurrected Apophis to his prison moon of Netu, where the traitorous Goa'uld organised a revolt among the denizens of Netu. Sokar was killed when an explosion triggered by the Tok'ra Aldwyn that destroyed Netu and his mothership orbiting it. His vast army and holdings were taken over by Apophis who escaped to Delmak prior to the explosion of Netu.

NOTES

At first, due to the fact that Sokar was mimicking The Devil or Satan, it was speculated that Sokar's host was an Unas. A fact that later proved to be false.
