BIOGRAPHY

The Supreme System Lord, Ra ruled through his power most of the known System Lords. He was also the brother and rival of Apophis. Ra was part of an alliance that overthrew Sokar and he installed himself as the new leader of the System Lords.

He was the first Goa'uld to have discovered humanity and began transplanting pockets of humanity to various uninhabited planets across the galaxy. He took Hathor as his bride and had a son, Heru-ur.

When humanity began to revolt against Ra, he sent Hathor to destroy them, but she turned on him and he sealed her inside a Mayan pyramid on Earth. When Seth attempted to revolt against him, he forced the rogue Goa'uld into hiding on Earth. It is also mentioned that Ra sealed Egeria, the rebel Goa'uld queen who spawned(literally) the Tok'ra movement, on the planet Pangara.

When humanity finally revolted for good against Ra and the stargate on Earth was buried, he left Earth and returned to his other planets seeing that Earth was not much of threat at it's current technological level.

Ra met his end when a team came through the newly re-activated stargate to Abydos and instigated a revolt among the Abydonians. He was killed when Colonel O'Neill sent a nuclear device via Ra's transport rings to his mothership, thus obliterating the Supreme System Lord. Most of his holdings were likely taken over by Heru-ur.

NOTES

Ra had a son with Hathor, Heru-ur. It is likely that Heru-ur is only a symbiote spawned by Hathor and claimed by Ra as his own.
