Welcome to The Goa'uld Archives, one of the rare websites on the internet that is purely dedicated to bringing you all possible information on the Goa'uld.

What are the Goa'uld you ask? Well, the Goa'uld are the main antagonists in the hit science-fiction series called Stargate SG-1. This series, started in 1997, was based on the original by the same name done by Devlin and Emmerich that was done in 1994.

In both the series and in the movie, the Goa'uld pose as gods and once ruled Earth several thousand years ago until a revolt in ancient Egypt buried the stargate which granted them passage from one planet to another, forcing the Goa'uld to abandon Earth in favor of the many human colonies they created throughout the galaxy.

Why make a whole website out of them? They're the bad guys for crying out loud! Well, I've always liked the bad guys more since without villains, there would be no show and no heroes for others to like. Also, the Goa'uld are based on ancient mythology, a subject that I find very interesting in the ways that it is expressed in the series.

Since I'm running this project alone, updates will be weekly as I add information on the weekly episode(if there is any on any Goa'uld-related subject). I am also very open to contributions in the form of suggestions, articles and even fanfiction related to the Goa'uld, every little bit helps. If you find a typo, please feel free to let me known as I have not yet developed an all-seeing eye and after having written several hundred lines of texts, errors may occur.
