Cronos |
BIOGRAPHY
When the death of Hathor showed that Earth was becoming a major threat to the Goa'uld, Cronos, Yu and Nirrti were sent as representatives of the other System Lords in order to negotiate a treaty mediated by the Asgard, rather than mount a full-scale offensive on Earth. During the negotiations, Cronos was injured and Teal'c was framed. It was later revealed that Nirrti had in fact attempted to murder Cronos with the aid of her newly developed stealth technology. He was healed by Samantha Carter and left Earth along with Yu and Nirrti to have her punished by the other System Lords for her attempted murder. After the death of Heru-ur, Cronos resurfaced and took control of the planet Juna that had just been freed from the control of Heru-ur several months earlier by SG-1. He encountered the robotic clones of SG-1, captured them and had his assistant studied them. When the real SG-1 boarded Cronos' mothership, Cronos was killed by Teal'c and his robotic double. After his death, Cronos' holdings were source of constant fighting among the remaining System Lords. NOTES In Greek mythology, Cronos was the father of Hades the god of the underworld. It is speculated that there is some sort of relation between Sokar and Cronos, weither it is a family or some other sort of relation remains unknown at this time. APPEARANCES Season three "Fairgame" Cronos, Yu and Nirrti arrive on Earth to negociate a non-aggression treaty with Earth. He is almost murdered by Nirrti.
