One of the seven most powerful System Lords, he has a vengeful attitude towards those who would slight him. He destroyed two whole star systems, 60 million lives, in a territorial dispute with Sokar rather than let the rogue System Lord gain them.

When attacks on his and the other System Lords holdings by an unknown Goa'uld and his underlords became frequent. Baal and the other remaining System Lords decided to agree on a truce and met on a massive space station in order to counter the offensive that was crippling their combined forces. During the negotiations, Osiris arrived and revealed the real identity of their common enemy to be Anubis and forced the System Lords to vote Anubis back into their fold. With a great deal of reluctance, he and the other System Lords(excluding Yu), voted Anubis back as a System Lord.

Several months after the summit, Baal managed to capture Colonel Jack O'Neill, who had previously been possessed by the Tok'ra Kan'an, on one of his hidden and very fortified outposts. Kan'an fled his body upon capture leaving O'Neill to be tortured and killed many times at the hands of Baal for the information he possessed. The outpost's location was discovered by SG-1 and given to Yu who attacked and presumably destroyed the outpost.

NOTES

"Baal" is an alternative name for Belus, the Goa'uld who killed Nem's mate Omoroca. It is unclear if he is related to or is that same Goa'uld.

Baal meets with to other System Lords in order to negociate an alliance against Anubis.

Baal and the other System Lords(minus Yu) vote Anubis back amongst the System Lords.

Season six

"Abyss"

Baal tortures O'Neill for information, but his secret base is attacked by Yu.
